Children is the answer. Hamilton Harty (I stuck in 'hearty' in one of my replies) wrote The Children of Lir - a rather nice tone poem. Debussy wrote Children's Corner.

Children cannot vote and neither could the suffragettes.

So all we now need is the last English composer who wrote a piece that featured children...the title of which has something to do with what you see when you look up and is also the name of a musical.

Cakewalk was my other hidden clue...Golliwog's Cakewalk from Children's Corner.

EDIT: I should say part of the title is something to do with what you see when you look up.

EDIT EDIT: Under the circumstances, I should say that he is a very well known English composer.

I don't see how anybody could have possibly got the answer from the original question, especially as there was nothing to indicate that the answer was a plural.

Well I thought it was a good clue, BTS, and one that encouraged surely what this thread is about: a bit of creative thinking, entertainment, social interaction... Circuitous need not imply something negative.

It might take me a while to construct a "D" this evening, if it hapens at all. I don't know what the rules are about this, but are there any volunteers for a D?
