In answer to that final question, Multivac, the ultimate computer, replied repeatedly: "THERE IS AS YET INSUFFICIENT DATA FOR A MEANINGFUL ANSWER." Finally Multivac's descendant, AC did calculate the answer. But by then, far into the future, there was no person to hear, and nothing remained. The final stars had faded into darkness.
