Yes, Henze's Voices makes use of radio broadcasts, sports commentaries, a speech by John F. Kennedy and an extract from Sibelius's Second Symphony. It's all a lot of fun.

Oh, yikes, that was a bit of a stab... I was thinking Orb and Sceptre are examples of the Goldsmith's art and didn't he write some choral celebration of The City of London (as well as the song cycle a Song for the Lord Mayor's Table). I'm a bit stuck on the North wind thing. He was born in Oldham, wasn't he?
