I've been through composers names beginning with A, meteorological terms, skimmed Oscar's quotations and asked my father about Lloyd George but it eludes me.

Now think, very, very, hard, who did you Father know apart from Lloyd George?

Maybe we should now start on rocket scientists in the vague hope we can Whittle it down...?

I had thought this was easy, I might as well have been talking in Chinese! If I give any more clues I will be shaking in anticipation of the answer

Yes, Wilde said "We all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars" and John Adams composed "I was looking at the ceiling and then I saw the sky"

I'll try, but it only became obvious later on. So working backwards - shaking was 'Shaker Loops', 'My father knew Charles Ives', chinese was 'Nixon in China' rocket science was 'Dr Atomic', upon my soul was 'The Transmigration of Souls', bad weather was 'El Nino' but I haven't had time to delve into Lloyd George or Oscar Wilde. Sorry. Maybe someone else would like to try...

EDIT: oh, I see Oscar's been explained

hercule got the Oscar Wilde, the Lloyd George was Adams "My Father knew Charles Ives" as opposed to "Lloyd George knew my Father my Father knew Lloyd George!. It was El Nino and Hoodoo Zehphyr for the weather.

I could have added Oliver Twist "Nancy's Fancy" or an item found in a Chapel "Harmonium" or items found on trees or cardigans "Gnarly Buttons"

Looks like you got the B
