A further "nudge": 182 is associated with an event less than a fortnight ago.

Googling "palm, 182" is effective, too!

                Of course!
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments

... well, while waiting for the final intricacies of ferneyhiccup's Palm to be resolved, form an orderly Q...

which Q might classically connect a village common to Pfitzner, Reimann, Schoeck, and Schumann (among others)

                  with

the British Navy's association with the Battle of Minden, the Battle of Lagos, and the Battle of the Plains of Abraham (among others)... ???

The 'cellist for whom Xenakis wrote Nomos Alpha was the late Siegfried Palm.

                        Blimey! That's a mouthful...

Are there two Qs then? Or rather, two elements leading to a common Q?

Is the Q an English word and is it at the beginning of the word?

... the Q is at the beginning of the word. The word is not in everyday use in English but is used by people in the relevant field. I did say 'classically'...

EDIT bedtime for me. If required I shall produce clues early tomorrow morning.
