All three scored works to include that rather lovely-sounding instrument - which seems to have been phased out in favour of the clarinet by the end of the 18th C.

There are some good chalumeau sounds in the Hyperion recording of Vivaldi's 'Juditha Triumphans' which I have.

No nightmares last night, fortunately, but sorry the D has taken so long. Sometime you get an idea and try to develop it but it just doesn't work out, so you have to go back and choose something else.
