              Yup (the poet/Lady Chatterley defender)
George Frederick Pinto wrote O Tuneful Voice
and "'Othello' is one of the most widely grown varieties of Pinto beans".

I googled my way to 'the melodious voice of Babita Pinto'....as for varieties of beans, I know less than Baldrick.

Yup indeed. It was interesting reading up about V de S P. He apparently wrote of Sassoon: "It seemed to me a strange paradox that the author of those poems full of burning indignation against war's hideous cruelty should also be a first-rate soldier and a most aggressive company commander."

                    A quick (I hope) Q to connect:

Works for solo violin by Bartok and Ysaye and a couple of Hommages to Steve Reich and Ligeti

well wikipedia was no bloody help at all there. Mr Pinto isn't mentioned on either the Sassoon page or the Chatterley page.

Well done fhg. Presumably Flay's remarkably stubborn night watchman will hand over to you in a suitably stirring ceremony.

You may very well think that, but I couldn't possibly comment.

Just in case this was missed (even I couldn't find it!) I'm repeating it and adding that the Hommages are for two pianos.
