Moving right along with a straightforward 'N' linking: the last of 7 in a suite; a ballet that could be, but isn't, about an underwater motorbike; and a recent premiere at the Met.
While there is a lull as mercia thinks of a new puzzle, can I endorse Caliban's plea that a full and frank disclosure be posted of the original question and the answer? It's so difficult trawling back and picking pieces of the answer out of many posts if one has to be away from the board for any length of time (it also makes it easier for the casual observer as well)
As a latecomer to AA I am probably flouting most rules if there are any but are we in danger of getting too technical and formulaic for an informal bit of fun.
I don't think so..it's a good idea to have a question 'officially' signed off by the setter before proceeding to the next. There have been cases of people being quite convinced they have the right answer, only to find that they haven't, and cases where it has been shown that there may be a perfectly correct alternative answer, or part of an answer, to that which the setter had in mind.

OK A!

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
