Angle is alive and well and still living on the northern bank of the Mersey. Unfortunately, his comings and goings are frequent these days and so has little time to concentrate. Things should calm down shortly.
Best wishes to everyone and thanks, all, for an excellent board.
Splendid news!! Hope they've been more or less enjoyable and not too stressful, all these comings and goings.
Looking forward to an angular future

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
Put that pet lip away, JFLL. I think you got it because SCB didn't provide the full answer, he was hedging, chancing it, bowled a googly. You on the other hand spent the time to write it all down in its glorious details, and that care and attention to detail naturally took longer.

Walter Piston's Three New England Sketches first performed by Paray.
Slonimsky conducted premiere of Charles Ives's Three Places in New England in 1931.
Edit: PIPPED again! (Throws toys out of pram.)

Oh goody, and thanks for your indulgence, m'lud. I'll get my pads on (or should that be 'mark out my run'?) But I've got a hard afternoon of philology ahead, so please don't expect anything in the next few hours.
What else are you hiding under your bushel?............
Anna, that question is just ARSKING for trouble...!
or should I say: Dim ond yn gofyn am drwbl....!

He's probably enraptured - as any sensible person should be - by the Schubertathon.
