      (1) Stravinsky: Agon has movements entitled "Bransle Simple", "Bransle Gay" (and "Bransle de Pointou")
      (2) Peter Warlock: Capriol Suite - fourth movement is "Bransles" (and "Capriol" is derived from the leap of a goat)
      (3) Poulenc: Petite Suite has a "Bransle de Champagne" (as well as a "Bransle de Bourgogne")

          I like the English for branle/bransle = brawl...

              I have only heard it in the French way - nasalised "an", silent "s" (as in the variant spelling "branle"), and final "uh".
