Morning Flay.

I tried my best. No one got my "never a dull moment" clue last night. "RS's "Italian Girls" was of course from the album with that title.

I wasn't sure about the first two parts but thought that someone would come through with them and convince. People appear to have done that this morning.

FHG's question about TV channels led to a thought that the Spice Girls had recorded a Channel 5 Theme. I found that on Google. I didn't know it beforehand. So that gave another route to the answer but to no avail.

I thought that they would be various girls rather than all Italian Girls so I did do quite a bit of research but nothing seemed to link in with the Channel and the Med.

I hope you are feeling better today. You didn't miss much on Radio 3 last night which sounded like 5 Live with Bolero. "Music Nation" they called it. Good luck to whoever takes the H. I'm guessing it will be Cloughie.

I confess to not having really understood what was going on last night, having been out for large parts of it and only looked in occasionally. I did note vindetable's interesting point about the French being as Celtic as the Irish but Anna, no comment ?

Hope to plug in more effectually this afternoon. Pleased you are better, Flazza Your Saturday evening sounds to have been a pain - still, you've distributed the lurgy (where does that word come from ??!? Anyone know??) around like little revenge time-bombs, so all was not lost

OH thanks for looking, Norfy Yes, 'the dreaded lurgy' was used at school I remember... Didn't know it had a goonish origin though!

BTW as AA is temporarily becalmed, f.y.i. I have about an hour of the week's Corrie omnibus left to watch today, all very exciting. (Isn't the chap who plays 'Peter Barlow' a very good actor indeed? Powerful stuff, I think! )

I've commented before on Chris Gascoyne's acting. It's never less than very good, and frequently the best anywhere on the telly. The lady wife and I repeatedly sit there saying 'Peter - you're a fool', but he won't listen, will he?

In contrast, sadly, Anne Kirkbride and William Roache (Ken and Deirdrie) seem to be going through the motions. While this may be understandable given the way their offspring have turned out, I would have thought they could have developed a wider range of facial and verbal expressions over the years.
