Kreisler did write a Preghiera, nothing (AFAIK) to do with Rachmaninov

I assume this is intended to complement 'The Indian Doctor' on BBC 1 (2.15-3.00 p.m. Monday to Friday this week). I've recorded the documentary and will watch it once I've seen the final episode.

Norfy, I've never heard of The Indian Doctor and so was suitably confused at the start of the documentary about smallpox in Wales. If anyone finds themselves midway between Bristol and Gloucester then please pay a visit to Dr. Jenner's House at Berkeley which is a fascinating museum about smallpox and vaccination (but not for the faint hearted) Also, Berkeley Castle is good (of Edward II and the red hot poker fame), the 36' deep dungeon is chilling. Ahem, as you were, on with the puzzles!

'The Indian Doctor' is a daytime drama set in South Wales in the mid-1960s. The current, second series centres on a smallpox outbreak in a village where the local GP is a recently arrived Indian.
