... I don't really want to ask whether brother Bryn was searching on the web for -

    a) naked men
    b) children in swimwear
    c) French fashion houses

I feel sure he has a clean conscience, and wasn't looking for (c)....

Simples. As I mentioned, I got the link from here, (Reply 1790).

La Redoute aren't bad actually. Fabrics aren't luxurious, but I got a slinky coffee and cream 2-piece from them a few years ago that I might wear again if it ever gets hot enough...

I do hope that you will let us see the photographs. I'm sure that you will make sure any naked men who happen to be in the vicinity are not visible in the pictures - wouldn't want board members to rise up in outrage :snigger:

Agree with reply 1791 from davetubaking. There's no such thing as bad publicity and I'd say it was deliberate.

Surely the French are laid-back about nudity on beaches? As you say, probably a manufactured fuss.

No men, but one or two summer-clad women, probably... and maybe a rescue cat or two. (Sorry dear Hooch, no disrespect.)

A bit like Benetton a few years ago, whose controversial adverts were designed to create a scandal. I once (actually, only once ever) complained to the ASA about a huge Cadbury milk flake poster that appeared in our neighbourhood. The ASA took no action and replied that Cadbury had been shocked at the interpretation that it evoked: "Gosh, it never entered our collective thirty-something marketing heads!"

I did add that I would never buy a Cadbury product again (I know, I know, I don't eat chocolate anyway! ) and I never saw the advert again.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
