I meant to post on Peter Burton's death when I saw the Guardian obituary in early Decembe (rhttp://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2011/nov/08/peter-burton). He was a significant figure in the gay liberation movement, first as a writer on Gay News and then as editor for the Gay Men's Press - a publisher that is now unfortunately gone but provided vital support and encouragement to gay writers when no other publisher would (are things any better now?) and also information and recognition for countless gay men.
One of the writers the GMP published was Graeme Woolaston, who also died late in 2011. - http://www.guardian.co.uk/theguardia...aston-obituary
