The real star of the 1930s Tarzan films has died at the age of 80 - or has he? Some think that the chimpanzee that was living under the name of 'Cheetah' was, in fact, an imposter

Zoo chimps kept in good conditions are expected to live for about 50 years, which is longer than life expectancy in the wild, because of freedom from parasites, predators etc.
There was a previous claimant to be Cheeta who turned out to be an imposter, and I suspect that this one may have been one too.Of course, he was humanised, and apparently well behaved, which again is unusual, because sexually mature male chimps are very aggressive and dangerous to be around.
I think this is rather like a Tarzan movie, a story not to be taken too seriously!
