Sorry - I forgot about the mugs. And, strangely, bottle openers!

I am told that there is an equivalent to the ferry game:

flights to Swiss ski resorts and doctors.

Another variation is business flights to Dubai and arms dealers.
(first class is reserved for footballers).
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

Fridge in the staffroom? We thought ourselves lucky to have a kettle!

              Wholly illogical, ahinton!
              Superb logic, scotty!

So it's agreed then - all members of the acting profession to be referred to in future as 'actresses'? - I'll copy your suggestion to Equity and RADA this morning, scotty

And if I either don't or I have nothing with which to do so in any case, how free should I feel then?(!)...

                  Scottyceltesses, anyone?

Actually, this reminds me (obliquely, to be sure) of a friend who happens to be the widow of a C or E vicar and whose view of women priests is neatly summed up by her use of the word "priestesses"...

I was merely acknowledging your interest, ahinton not judging it

Speaking personally, I find the affectation of referring to female thespians as "actors" absurd.
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                        Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I agree Caliban. Hence my suggestion of calling them all actresses

My lady florist friend, the recipient of one of my Christmas gifts, rewarded me today with a hug and a kiss. And it was not all air! What an actor!
