    Off-Air Recordings Wanted

Does anyone have the following off-air recordings lurking in their collection? They are all concerts I attended that were broadcast on radio/TV and I will willingly swap an unwanted CD or make payment for a copy of any of them. They are:

Beethoven: Missa Solemnis LPO/Solti Proms Sept 10 1982 (both radio and TV)

Bruckner 8: BPO/Karajan June 19 1979 (broadcast on Capital Radio)

    Weber Freischutz Overture/Schubert 5/Beethoven 7 LSO/Karl Bohm Dec 19 1978

    Mahler: Symphony No 2 LPO/Haitink Proms Aug 14 1978

    Tippett 4/Tchaikovsky 6 Chicago SO/Solti Proms Sept 4 1978

    Bartok Concerto for Orchestra/Bruckner 4 Chicago SO/ Solti Proms Sept 5 1981

    Thanks for any responses.

We might be on the limits of legality here - I'm not sure about sharing for private use. In any case I assume you referred to any payment as being for expenses only (e.g CD, p&p &c) as there should be no other commercial transaction.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

      How life changes.

Have you considered the British Library Sound Archive?

Isn't that the concert that Carlos Kleiber conducted at very short notice for an indisposed Karl Böhm. I seem to remember it was...

I thought this might be said. There is no question that any payment does indeed refer to CD, p&p etc, The fact is I would commit any crime to get hold of these recordings as they hold a very special significance for me. Bring on the handcuffs, constable...

No, Karl Bohm was slated to conduct this concert from the start and did indeed do so. I recall encountering Bohm outside the Albert Hall as he made his way to the artist's door and I was lucky enough to meet him backstage after the concert where he signed my programme.

My mistake - the Böhm LSO concert that Carlos Kleiber took over at the last minute had an almost identical programme (Freischütz, Schubert 3, Beethoven 7). but it was on 9 June 1981.

                indeed

I'm no lawyer but this seems to be on the limits of legality to me ......... unless of course you plan check with the performers contracts that they aren't due a fee for the sale ?

If I had a copy of the Negativand "U2" Single and copied it I would expect to be in court within 6 months if I made it public
