Pretty sure I saw two small young wild boar by the side of the road the other night.
They are rumoured to be in the large woods near us. They were small , dark red/ brown, beautiful creatures.
I guess they could have been escaped rare breed types, but given the location were likely wild.
Fantastic sight.
Wouldn't like to meet a fully grown one at night though.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Last year in the final week of October I was delighted to spot a young hedgehog in our garden.
This year in the final week of October I was equally delighted to spot what is presumably the same hedgehog in our garden.
My animal book tells me that hedgehogs are most often spotted in UK gardens in October.
Sometimes even experts can appear to know what they are talking about ...
