    Marmite Closes M1 ...

    a lorry has spilled more than 20 tonnes of Marmite on the M1 .... the public have been asked to bring toast, lots of toast .....


    .... they don't make headlines like that very often these days eh ...
    According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.

            Yes - few better stories even on April 1st!

                  Yes, all the usual suspect gags as reported on BBC R4 (and no doubt elsewhere also) are being trotted out over this one - but just think, it could have been even worse; imagine the consequences had it been Vegemite!

                      er some of us do not listen to R4 in the am but R3 so we can post on the 3beebies thread .......

                            actually i never listen to R4 because i just can not take it .... it is for me a form of Vegemite
