    Whatever happened to......?

Not a discussion thread but a chance for you to add disappearances that mystify you.

For example: Whatever happened to -

    Japanese radiation
    Chris Huhne's alleged driving offences
    David Laws
    Vera Lynn's brooch
    The Big Society
    Concerns about North Korea

              I knew his mum

Mrs. Mills (Gladys Mills 1922-1978) on the "Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club" playing A Shanty in Old Shanty Town.

              Murder or manslaughter?
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
              Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

The idea behind this thread formed the basis for an amusing and whimsical book by Michael Bywater called "Lost Worlds: What have we lost and where did it go?"

As a copy either in hard or soft back can be had for a whole penny plus postage, I suggest that the nostalgic could have worse books in their loo

Looside Literature - now that's a proper topic, Caliban

But if we start it, there'll be complaints, mark my words - there'll be complaints
