The most remarkable thing so far for me is how many members of the Murdoch empire suffer from selective amnesia
I'm sure that Mr Jay is reeling even now at your jibe

And Amateur, I don't know whether you have ever run a multinational media empire- I sincerely hope not - but if you had done, I wonder if you would be able to remember every detail of your activities from several years ago.Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.

And you might recall that Mr Murdoch senior sets very great store by what people 'remember' in their autobographies.
Do you remember what was said about Murdoch senior by Sir Harold Evans? Aside from business there is nothing he likes more than gossip.
And Sue Akers of the Met added 'salacious gossip' to that.

The "lol" messages from David Cameron to RB was said to make the former look silly, but this particular abbreviation can mean BOTH "lots of love" and "laugh out loud" (which is bad grammar, so DC would be unlikely to use it).
Why I am I sticking up for David Cameron? I must have strayed into an alternative universe.

I am inclined to support the Guardian's investigative journalism;
We have accepted different sets of persuasions - but on the balance of the evidence, it seems that I am being told, or having to believe, fewer lies, in order to maintain my beliefs.
