are the womens' orgs at the leveson inquiry on iplayer calum, or amatuer?
(below) the written version, central to feminist theory since the 1960s.
Written evidence from coalition of women's groups to the inquiry into media standards and phone hacking
better late than never.
however, murdoch thought it all a big joke, and the tabloid headlines, text, and pictures became increasingly offensive, not less..... as time progressed.
so, i'm extra glad rupert's influence has finally weakened in this specific context.... rupert and james have to limit the continuation of their sales in pervertion, as well as kerb their sick calculations of mens' response to specific text/images, to 'the sun' from now on.
still not perfect - but hopeful that all tabloids'll have to stop being so vile, after the veritable free for all recently 'excused' by consumerism, and the absolute lie that women/girls crave attention so much, that they'll 'do anything' to be famous.
i understand there'll always be a percentage of men who are 'a bit odd' where women are concerned, (and vice versa). but in other countries there is a 'top shelf' precisely for this regression. whereas brits share the same stuff over breakfast with the kids...... it's absolutely absurd, repulsive, hypocritical, and embarrassing whenever the subject of this quintessentially british media quirk is raised.
it'd be absolutely great if just one of these womens' orgs (or preferably all) could back mp mr skinner's recent request as regards cameron's reappearance at the leveson inquiry, in connection with his original appointment of coulson to the tory party.... it'd be perfect timing, whilst we're in a frame of mind where legitimate 'bought sex' is not necessarily anything to be ashamed of in itself. that is, providing the purchaser isn't a complete hypocrit; or 'news' embroidered by sexually regressive, mentally immature 'professional hypocrits' selected and employed by rupert, james, and that particularly hideous traitor to womens' equality, rebekah brooks/wade/etc .... though i try to loathe them all equally, tbh i fail miserably where women are involved in the exploitation of other women and children, for personal profit, as per 'post feminist progressions' and over emphasis of female entreprenurial skill, above all else.

But of course Guardian readers inhabit a superior moral universe to the rest of us in the evil, unfeeling mob. That clearly goes without saying......Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.

As for discrimination, of course I do not agree with it, whether that be discrimination against a particular group, or, as is increasingly common these days, positive discrimination that unfairly favours certain groups in order to fulfil politically inspired quotas. The best person for the job should get the job, whether they be male, female, gay, straight, transgendered, black, brown, or green with pink spots.

Furthermore, has it not occurred to you that many readers of The Guardian (or indeed any other newspaper) do not ONLY read The Guardian? - or, for that matter, that some people likewise regard readers of The Daily Telegraph as inhabiting "a superior moral universe to the rest of us" with about as much corroborative evidence as those who accuse Guardian readers of the same?

thanks both!
Toulmin rejected accusations that during his time at the PCC the body was in fact run by a "tripartite" of three of the most powerful figures in newspapers at the time – the Daily Mail editor in chief in chief Paul Dacre, the former executive chairman of News International, Les Hinton, and the former PCC chairman Sir Christopher Meye
fancy that...is it any wonder it was/is toofless! especially as the director of the pcc apparently doesn't make decisions!
