"Och, it's gruesome" said the Scotsman. "Aye, it's grew some more!" replied his companion.

      As in Stanley Grew some?
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

think we had better be a touch careful about what is said, m'learned friends are getting into quite a tizz over the wrong sort of smear ... vegemite not marmite as it were in the matter of mr grant etc

mcmullan was a star turn ..... artfully misunderstanding or just incapable of comprehension who can say? addled or obfuscating? he clearly believes that the plod will have not a shred of hard evidence when it comes to him ....
According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.

I think twice, he said about the thrill of the chase re Diana, until she unfortunately got herself killed. No, don't look, it's so dispiriting, to think what levels the press have sunk to pander to those who only want sleaze and NOT Radio 3!!

Seems like to me, he was high on something otherwise he would not be so stupid.

Are you sure the last letter of that last word is correct? Don't you want one from earlier in the alphabet?

He was the same when he was doing the news studios e.g. Newsnight with Coogan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZV9Sh_R3wB4

I agree with Calum. McMullan knows exactly what he's doing.

I don't suppose so; after all, how could anyone called McMullan be a Turk? - and there's surely no such thing as a "star turf", is there?...
