what a monster dacre is, all huffing and puffing and overdone lauding of his columnists yet in practice a really vicious scorn and contempt for the world and anything human .... he struck me as an archetypal hypocritical bigot ... the licentious authoritarian dogmatist who preys on the weak .....
According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.

And the important word there is Prejudices.

Indeed, Mr P. A welcome indication of honesty and self-knowledge there, from S-A.

What an utterly crass misreading. The important word was, quite clearly, "confirmed". Indeed, "prejudice" was, I feel, the wrong term for the situation. More a case of prior assessment based on Dacre's activities to date. No surprise that 'Simon' should lend his support.

The Met Police failed to warn people they were the victims of phone hacking by the News of the World, a judicial review has ruled.

The Met Commissioner accepted that the failure to warn victims was unlawful.

Police should have warned people whose phones were hacked by the News of the World, a judicial review - pushed for by Lord Prescott - rules.

"The Met Police are re-examining the entire case dating back to 2006, when the News of the World's former royal editor, Clive Goodman, and private investigator Glenn Mulcaire were jailed for hacking into the mobile phone voicemails of royal aides" the article reveals.

Can you imagine how many hours of police time and how much money all this has cost, aside from the damage to the Met's reputation?

calum, I suppose you noticed that although Borgen ended disastrously for pretty well everyone, the coalition was in good shape - does it remind you of anything?

I love it when Mr Jay gets impatient with the wafflers like Baroness B and Sir Christopher - they go off at a tangent then Mr J says "a yes or no answer would have sufficed". The PCC is certainly being made to look as "guilty" as anyone, with their possibly narrow interpretation of their powers.

Even more devastating is when the Lord snaps "I'm trying to move us forward, Mr Jay!"

The most consistent thread I got from Meyer was that he did a lot of travelling and 'lunch'
