Earlier this week. Ian Hislop of Private Eye said that he hoped that David Cameron (and Tont Blair and Gordon Brown) would be called before the Inquiry to account for their relationship with New International & the Murdochs.
Yesterday, when Dennis Skinner (80 next month and a Parliamentarian since 1970) asked David Cameron when he was going before Leveson he got this astonishingly unnecessary response
I do hope that this has whetted his Lordship's appetite for Cameron's answers to Skinner's entirely pertinent question.
If only Millibland had had the wit to retort "Calm down, dear!"

The part of Cameron's response before that unneccessary jibe is equally interesting - according to Simon Hoggart in the Guardian "We deserved, said Skinner, to know why he had appointed "one of Murdoch's top lieutenants, Andy Coulson, to the heart of the British government". The prime minister sounded thrilled to be asked. He would be delighted to speak to the inquiry, and would answer all their questions, he said".
So when can we expect Leveson to call Cameron?
If only Millibland had had the wit

Milly Dowler's voicemails were "most likely" deleted automatically and not by journalists, the Metropolitan Police tells the Leveson Inquiry.
Perhaps it is time for some Guardian journalists to consider their position. After all, their allegations led to the closure of the News of the World, throwing hundred of fellow hacks out of a job- now, it seems based on wildly innacurate reporting. And News International are the ones in the dock???
And dare I suggest that some of the more vocal posters here, who have presumed guilt long before we had heard any evidence to prove it, based on nothing more than their dislike of the Murdoch business empire, should perhaps eat a little humble pie at this point??
Surrey Police says detectives did not give the News of the World messages from the voicemail of murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler.
"The account does not cover what happened to the voicemails and who was responsible for deletions, an event that gave the 13-year-old's parents false hope that she was still alive."
"It appears as if they may have actually interfered or impeded the police in their investigations... because they went on claiming they had evidence Milly Dowler was still alive." - John Whittingdale.
"A News of the World journalist told police they got Milly Dowler's mobile phone number and pin from other schoolchildren, a report has revealed."

Back to 'normal' business today after yesterday's Patten-Leveson lovefest which was fairly boggling to witness.
John Kampfner, Index on Censorship and Jonathan Heawood, PEN are currently on the stand, making a lot of interesting sense. The Lord seems to be firing on all cylinders today

missed the Civil Liberty group but have just watched the Womens Groups with open jawed admiration; they really skewered the media, politicians and m'learned chums and made a compelling and reasonable case ...... this Inquiry thing can be quite brilliant eh?
[Jacqui Hunt (Equality Now), Marai Larasi (End Violence against Women), Anna Van Heeswijk (Object), Heather Harvey (Eaves Housing for Women), Inayat Bunglawala (Engage) i think ..]According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.

Not sure that we got the line-up as per the Leveson website - there were 4 orgs and I think at least one witness was a sub.
