Wouldn't 21/11/12 be next? After which I believe we would have to wait for your 12/11/21 - though I'm not so sure it is right to exclude leading zeros, so 02/11/20 should count IMO.

Yes - 21/11/12 would be next. I don't much care for leading zeros in dates. I think a six-digit palindrome trumps a five-digit one Also the palindromic date perhaps ought to satisfy both the DDMMYY and MMDDYY date formats.
