'Google Buzz' is going away. Does this effect my Gmail account?

I'm not sure if anyone as noticed yet but Google have announced that 'Google Buzz' is going away. I don't use Google Buzz. I hope this doesn't effect my Gmail account?

Nahh... it's just some add on which failed in its attempt to rival Twitter, isn't it? Never used it, clicked on it, paid any attention to it (other than being mildly irritated if something referring to it popped up when I was on the email page).

I wouldn't worry. The world is marginally simpler and better without it.
