I think 95 is okay. Except the happy finale. should have stuck with a minor key one.

I forgot no.104 mvt 3 which is ubercool.

And I think I remember liking no.92 Oxford but I don't have it.

Top 10 so far (listened to around half of them) for no other reason than they are a joy to listen to.
      46,52,60,80,82,92,96 100,102 &104.
All even numbered I've just realised!

I agree Salymap, Papa Haydn hits the spot every time for an uplifting symphonic experience! The Oxford No 92 is one of my favourites for its gentle, spirited lyricism.

With the high profile of 44 today and in honour of the first Lady - I thought I'd look again at this thread and was amazed how long ago this was. At the time I wasn't a lover of these symphonies and this thread brought me to them - wonderful - the top 15 were

            a salymap list!
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
            Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

great recommendation from more than 2 years ago.

Don't have any - they diminish into insignificance when compared with the string quartets.

Well, as an afterthought, perhaps that's a slight exaggeration, but I do prefer some of his earlier ones.
