Talking of androgynous avatars there's another one which (like its predecessor) invites explanation - you know who you are

I've never actually met any of the people on this forum in real life....I was just wondering how we picture each other? I suppose it's inevitable that avatar choice will play some part in this....

Scottycelt I think of as a younger Fyfe Robertson.

I don't need a special way of knowing I spend too much time here. I just know.

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.

Whenever I see a post from Flossie these days I'm afraid I can't help thinking of the naked Rhinemaidens at the beginning and end of the current ROH Ring. In case you haven't seen it, they hastily pull on dungarees when Alberich appears, and slip out of them again at the very end.

Oh dear, I always thought Flossie was a gal!! I seem to remember "chatting her up" on the old BBC boards when we were all a lot younger and foolish ...

It must have been a good laugh for all those in the know.

Maybe we should all have one of them symbols that makes it sort of clearer?

Well, quite a few people have assumed I'm a gal, on account of my avatar, so maybe we shouldn't feel too stupid. Sorry, Flossie, if I've embarrassed you and I'll delete my previous posting forthwith!

Not at all, Mandryka, I'm sort of flattered - intellect, beauty, & balls (or feistyness if you prefer) - who could object? (but I do think you might be spending too much time here )

(note - if you remove something from a post, if it's been quoted in another message it's still visible there )

... ah yes 3VS the perfect sonnet .... alas well at least it existed in the universe for a few moments, if only in my dream ....
According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.

Ahh, now you're talking, Scotty. As Mae might have said, is that a club in your hand, or are you pleased to see me?
