Who has "won" the game? Perhaps Anna or Roehre as they have (I think, but I haven't counted) contributed the most.

Delius: Gaily, but Not Quick (2 aquarelles)

Edit: Oh, have we stopped playing? Nevermind, it was all good fun! Perhaps best give it a rest?

Those are certainly the names that come to my mind.

And which work is the most often returned to ?

Cole Porter etc: The Gay Divorcee. I still have my mother's 78rpm record from the 1930s of "Night and Day".

(Perhaps an occasional return... There's something rather addictive about this thread. Congratulations to BBM.)

Indeed, many thanks BBM starting this addictive and enjoyable thread. I eventually decided to drop out because I found there were more repeats than I have had hot dinners.

Yes, well done to the Maestro. I'm bowing out now. Maybe others will want to carry on xXx.

One dinner can generate many repeats.

I too would like to offer my thanks and congratulations to BBM.

One thing that has surprised me was that there are relatively few works with flower associations with an exception of roses, whereas trees seem to have a fair share. Also, there are plenty of birds but not many animals, and similarly, a lot of moon and sun but not so many stars. Understandingly (well…) a lot of girls but few boys/men. Men are mostly either saints or emperors. I’d have thought Sebelius may have come up more often with his forests and dark lakes.

I don’t know. Considering the number of the posts, I think we’ve done pretty well to avoid too many obvious repetitions.

All in all, it has been most enjoyable.

                          Are we still playing?

Cheers BBM really enjoyed this though only dipped in from time to time.
Wish it could have included rock music though, I so wanted to post Thin Lizzy when Gloriana or the Three Elizabeths came uo for the nth time !.
