PS: For bbm, regarding fhg's latest post, K. 458 = Wolfie's "Hunt" string quartet

PPS: Here's an impossible challenge, perhaps: can the Forumites make the next 9 selections all by living composers? (I have meta reasons for issuing the challenge.)

                        But he's dead - see #14586.

I don't think being resurrected counts as being living, especially as he hasn't been, yet.

It seems it was impossible, BSP.

... well, some of us tried!

bluestateprommer - can you indicate what was behind your wish here?

Re vinteuil's question: indeed, at least we tried. It's a tricky, but not impossible challenge. I just wanted to get more suggestions outside standard repertoire. The larger point is that this thread, light-hearted fun as it is, actually encapsulates one of the problems with classical music, namely the reliance on the same old names and works over and over again.
