PS: Very academic question, which actually has a distant meta connection to a subject of much concern here. In this particular thread, how many times have the same pieces been used to continue the thread at any given point? I seem to recognize a number of works recurring again and again. This is the reason I go out of my way to look up pieces that I haven't necessarily heard myself, or have been recorded, but which are fairly unlikely to have been used. Hence the William Mathias and Buxton Orr works themed on Edward Lear posted by myself earlier.

It's for fun BSP, and with already nearly 8000 responses repetition is inevitable.
Apart from the fact that the contributors inevitably have different levels of knowledge of titles and works and potential relations/associations, some words/titles simply attract "standard" responses. To name a few: Sea, moonlight, animals, seasons, religious words like Maria or Requiem, opusnumbers etc. etc. are all unavoidably going onto more are less trodden tracks which appeared before.
But it's the fun which IMO counts most.

It would however not a bad idea for contributors to check whether another contributor has replied to the title just before they themselves did -and if so, to remove their posting, in order to avoid confusion and "side-tracks".
