              Stravinsky - Firebird

Scrub that - Tchaikovsky - sleeping beauty

Except that both are firy tales - which we've had quite a few of recently

Back to Walkure Act 3, and also Siegfried, Act 3- Sleeping Brunnhilde.

(She is supposed to be a sleeping beauty, although most Wagnerian sopranos don't quite fit the bill..... )

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
