PS: On fhg's question, I admit that I'm straining myself for a connection to the Grieg, unless it's something like:

(a) Both works feature a chorus entering part way into the movement (admittedly more optional in the case of the Grieg)
(b) Neptune was the god of the sea, so maybe a "four elements (earth, water, air, fire)" type of connection with "mountain king"?

I'm totally making this up, so please don't quote me
