I do not know why I did not think of it earlier. There is a wonderful shortened animated DVD version of Janacek's Cunning Little Vixen which concentrates upon the woodland animals and the Forester rather than the "naughty adult bits" we bigguns all love. Wonderful music! wonderful story! Wonderful use of colour! Used in conjunction with the Orchestral Suite you could build up a drama/costume making/ecologically themed presentation where the opera is actually the treat at the end of the project. They will love seeing "themselves" as cartoon character with the music they have used appearing in the film. It is also fun to video any presentation and let them see themselves.
