Not too much unpleasantness so far as i can see.

Would a Rob G be kindly escorted off the premises ?

Well, there's nothing like naming names! But on the general point, there were BBC Radio 3 messageboarders who were considerablely more vicious than the aforementioned (who just enjoyed winding people up). Indeed, they may well have contributed to the demise of that forum.

The volume of messages received during this proms season must at least now match and probably surpass the old
        BBC board.

May I say well done, Frenchie.

Yes, let's hope that those who have joined for the Proms stay with us once the season is over.

Congratulations indeed to French Frank, Mark and all the other little beavers at work behind the scenes.

Thanks to all for the thanks. Though there aren't any other little beavers working behind the scenes. The beavers' work is front of house: the Hosts keeping the forums 'stocked' and in order, Andrew posting the R3 schedules every week, bluestateprommer did a magnificent job on the calendar so that we now get the weekly concert programme displayed - and everyone who posts useful information.

Looking at the stats, things were a bit quieter in June but posts have been very good in the last month. The biggest difference, though, has been in the number of unique daily visitors - up about 30% since the Proms began. I assume these are people looking for news of the Proms, so I hope there will be some enthusiastic comments about Haitink, Ax and the COE later tonight ...
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
