It was pretending to be from a friend of both of us, I'd better not say more but he knows about it and obviously knew nothing of it. You and he go back to the old boards.

I had the same problem early this morning and it took three goes to get into "Concerts"

Same thing happened half an hour ago (all html code was displayed).

I have a second computer and that does not produce the same fault.

I run the full version of AVG on each computer separately at 0800 every morning, so I should have full virus protection.

Any ideas, from our technically literate message boarders would be most welcome.

Gosh saly, to anyone reading this gets more like Tinker Tailor Soldier Sailor by the minute!! You can now call me George!

If you haven't already done it then employ 'Block Sender' and 'Delete Contact' in your address book.

Anna, I'll send you a PM. It wasn't that smoothie who stole Smiley's wife either.

sorry to interrupt, is Malwarebytes considered good? (I hadn't heard of it before now) Last year I paid a lot for "Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security" which I will have to pay to renew next year sometime. I've also got Windows Defender on my system.

mercia, Malwarebytes was recommended to me by several people, I think about a year ago when Adobe was so flakey it was infecting people left right and centre through its loopholes (I don't use Adobe for PDFs anymore, I use Foxit) and I ran it after my usual anti-v, spybot, etc., and it discovered things lurking that nothing else had picked up. I now run it around every 10 days (takes about 30 mins)
