What strange message? If for any reason the forum closed, there should still have been my Sept 1st message about the temporary closure (which didn't happen). I can't think what other messages the forum would display to all members who tried to log in.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I've had no trouble this morning. All seems to be working fine. The only strange messages I've seen are the posts from the usual suspects.....

I do hope not, saly. I should get a good clean-up done, if I were you, and look at your AV programme again. The cookie policy is that cookies are wiped if you log out.

Oh, did I not mention that?

saly, I had problems such as you describe around 7 am today. (all html code was displayed). I tried from my computer when I arrived at work around 7.50, and all was well - as indeed it still is.

mangerton, thanks for that but have just had another scare. The message that activated the Trojan has just returned, purporting to be from'one of us'. This time I didn't click on it. I paid my supplier £50 a few days ago too.

I have sometimes found the same thing with BBC - and other - sites. Nothing technical was going on at my end, though it is possible FutureQuest was doing something. Can't say what causes rogue messages to appear.

saly, do you run Malwarebytes as well as your usual anti-virus programme? What did you pay your supplier to do?

My supplier put that on my computer but Windows IE won'tlet it through.

They ran that though for 4-5 hours on dual screen and said it was now okay Anna

saly, what do you mean IE won't let it through, what does IE say? I use Malwarebytes once every 10 days or so, but it doesn't recommend you use it when you have other browsers/applications open, so you shouldn't try and run it in the background whilst you are, for example, posting on here or surfing.

saly, you say from 'one of us' Sounds like you are dealing with Aliens or are involved in espionage or even an underground R3 Liberation Front!! Do you mean it was an email masquerading as someone you know?
