"Oh! You are Affl! But I like you!" (with thanks to Dick Emery)
You're on a roll today, Chris!

There are a few youtubes of Dick Emery saying that: I posted one elsewhere a few weeks ago on here, but the one where he just says that phrase took some while to find.

Well spotted article, Simon, and as you say 'double standards'. Was it ever thus?

I see the second member of the 'Gang of three' has piped up. (Rather reminds me of Tabaqui in The Jungle Book)

Who are the 'thieves' of the thread title who have affled?

Yes, I was wondering that too.

(I suppose it passed Simon by that Wikileaks and The Guardian fell out during the publication of the original mega-leak of US documents. Old news.)

I was just being ironic, Simon: something rarely understood by the far right or left.
Thanks Chris. By which refusal to answer the question I posed to you, I take it that you do agree with me. Or that you can't answer. Either way OK by me!

Yes, all right you lot. Have your fun over my typo.

But I might have the last laugh: I might have invented a new verb! To affle. Sounds good to me.

You may have thought that. I don't disbelieve you.

But you would have been wrong!
