Why do we insist on 6th Nay 2023?
What's wrong with the far more esthetically pleasing (to me at least) 6 May 2023?
Because we are not especially pro-monarchy?

      What a lovely unintentional typo!

      Now corrected.

The Independent's list of 21 coronation memorabilia to buy (if you're mad, presumably; I thought that the Indy didn't cover the royals!):

It certainly didn't when it first came out as a broadsheet print newspaper (and a very good one IMHO).

It morphed considerably since then and I haven't read it for years, so can't speak for its present stance in the monarchy/republic debate.

Out of devilment this might be the best .... https://www.heart.co.uk/lifestyle/sh...ys-coronation/

Probably could sell for more, later, too - for the speculators out there.

Watching Frankie Boyle just now - having just finished before it The Windsors: Coronation Special. Lined up for later is Malpractice which despite its title has nothing to do with the Monarchy

This coming Friday afternoon ( 5th May ) our school here in Shanghai will be having a picnic in honour of Chas' Coronation. The kids will love it of course, not because they have any inkling of Royalty or the UK - but for the boon of not having any afternoon lessons. Shame we couldn't have the day off !!

Not for the first time, artist/satirist ‘Cold War Steve’ puts this sort of tat (and much else besides) in context:

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                  Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Indeed, the soft toy happy couple can be purchased in Aldi for £7.98, but already being snapped up (by collectors?) on eBay at several multiples of this price (+postage)...

My five year old was given a coronation pencil and bookmark by his primary school.
Annoyingly listening to and commenting on radio 3...

There are some really lovely Ravilious designed coronation mugs albeit with really lovely prices.
