Turning the phone off will simply mean that the alarm sounds when you switch it back on. You need to go into settings and find the appropriate one to switch off emergency alarms. I am not sure whether removing the SIM temporarily will do the trick or not. I am also unsure what effect this might have on my 5G ARM-based laptop. Those people who, because of their circumstances(domestic abuse etc) may have a "secret" personal phone for protection will not be put in a good place by having said phone making a loud noise and advertising its presence. The noise was distinctly underwhelming on my phone. I probably wouldn't have heard it under normal circumstances, but travelling as a passenger in a car I had my phone right by me.Comment
