      Everyone's carefully avoiding the 'tossing' gags, I'm relieved to note.

      Thought that north of the border, you'd appreciate the slight Morningside twang afforded by the circumflex to 'crêped up on me'...

        So I assume the collective noun for pancake gags is a battery.......

                                I remember the late, great Mr. Tommy Cooper do an origami sketch where he carefully goes through the whole routine of folding and tearing only to rip the thing to shreds and through it on the floor. It still makes me laugh 30 odd years later.
