I see there are quite a lot of these, several of which say "Please try Spain" at the end - just to rub salt into the wound!

Lord of the Flies tells the story of a bunch of public schoolboys who take control of an island cut off from the rest of the world and then descend into vicious infighting. Apparently it's a work of fiction.

Do you mean the twice divorced, serial adulterer, baptised Catholic but confirmed Anglican who had a "small" ceremony in a Catholic cathedral?

We've now been told that the previous wives weren't Catholics, which is all that matters - so that's all right then...

Is not said miscreant of the Anglican Catholic sect, at least nominally?

Nice to see 'Dead Ringers' back for a new series - Baroness Dido Harding says that she is a popular choice to become the new head of the NHS. She says that she has not been able to trace a single person who objects to her. (I liked the new variant Matt Hancock too! )

I am not usually much of a fan of Dead Ringers on Radio 4 but this one definitely hit the spot. The failure to sound that much like their targets just did not matter. The writing more than made up for it.

I hear someone with, shall we say, unconventional views regarding questions such as evolution, is to Pootle off. Good to see he has some grasp of his capacity to fulfil the job. (No party-political association intended).

Hancock apologises and says he's let his trousers down in this latest piece of news.

He went on to say he hoped this incident would leave no hard feelings in the electorate.
