This wasn't intended as a joke, but amused me. A comment BTL regarding a strop thrown by a former celebrity referred to the person in question as a 'pre-madonna'. How the phonics would have worked out sans Madge I don't know...

There was a new ad on Channel 5 this morning that went by so fast I failed to catch what the product was. But it ended with the words "Keep away from children".

Yes - those ?Persil? washing machine tablet/"pod" thingies: and with the added comment "and, always remember, keep away from children", as if you'd already made the decision, but might have forgotten!

I took it that they were making a public service announcements to those with pedophile tendencies.

Useful advice for those with compromised immune systems...children are germ factories.

That's what I was wondering - sort of sneaking it, subliminally like, into an advert!!!

What do you get if you cross a city-centre street with a safari park?
                          Double yellow lions.

                            On the zebra crossings, presumably.

In a round about kind of way...

On Radio 4 this morning, I enjoyed Henry Normal's joke:
'How many father-in-laws does it take to change a light bulb?'
'One...and he'll bleed your radiators while he's at it!'
