      (Michael?)
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Enough! I was just correcting John to Michael. Michael Torke is the verdant composer.

Has the timeline been overstretched? Traditionally this thread has run from Advent to Epiphany, so maybe as Duke Orsino said ‘Tis not so sweet now as it was before’.

So shall we stick with tradition, and call a halt here?

I vote we call a halt until come December - as always it's been great fun, thanks to all who have contributed.

That is a very fine vocal work by Hoddinott, who is yet to be Composer of the Week. I enjoyed this little set of his songs on In Tune last week tho, sung by Nicky Spence. Very interesting programme on Lionel Tertis' music performed by Timothy Ridout and James Bailie. Hoddinott songs at 1hour 19mins https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001vtp9
