Well I could restart, if folks want to, with

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Sorry to be the party pooper, but the reason I resurrected Alphabet rather than Musical Associations was that far too often the 'association' in this thread left me completely bewildered.
Please can I ask for some equivalent to coleslaw being required here?
I get that Heldenleben is a hero's life and that Siegfried is an operatic hero, but why Jerusalem?

Eroica (why does my phone insist on making that “Erotica”?! ) - Hero’s Life - Siegfried the hero - Siegfried Jerusalem the singer - etc etc … I think…
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                              Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I think you're right too, but surely the sequence should have been

Eroica --> Heldenleben --> Siegfied --> Jerusalem (or, being kind, Siegfried Jerusalem)?

My next one would then be Parry (wrote the tune Jerusalem to 'And did those feet').
It's the Siegfried Jerusalem as a single follow-on that I was querying.
