      Still trying to work that one out! The nearest I can get is the acoustic group that serenades customers at our local pub on a Wednesday night, one of whom may be called David and/or drive a Bedford van).

            According to a fondly remembered advertising campaign, you could take a White Horse anywhere, which presumably included East Jerusalem and Uffington.

              OK then - Christ is in a pub in #255; lot of pubs are called The White Horse - maybe the one Christ was in had that name. Good enough?
