          Mark Pullinger was Il Grande Inquisitor but posts much less often now he writes for Gramophone.

          Jonathan Swain did appear very briefly on here a long time ago if I remember rightly.

            Reminds me of RD Laing's story about the schizophrenic who claimed to be Jesus Christ, but who, on being administered a lie detector test, replied "No" when asked if he was Jesus Christ. The lie detector registered that he was lying!

                Wise words. Musicians (and writers about music) should never forget that we were all "amateurs" once, and before that we knew nothing at all. I always feel I can learn something from other opinions, perhaps less so when they agree with mine than when they don't!
