Old R3 Message Boards from 2005

Is there any way I can gain access to those old Radio 3 boards now? I'm looking for something I posted after 2005, perhaps 2 or 3 years after. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

I think they may exist somewhere, but in a form which makes them difficult to access.

These were the BBC boards, but when you click on the links they connect with current BBC News pages .
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

While someone associated with the BBC may have them on a hard disc somewhere, in terms of public access you're going to struggle.

There are spectral fragments floating about on wayback machines though, e.g:

It's reassuring that some things don't change (a thread from 16 years ago about the BBC Singers not sounding like a choir!)

        Some familiar names there too.

With persistence and some understanding of how a wayback works you may be able to turn up individual threads, but the selection is likely completely random and a tiny fraction of what once existed.

For some more familiar names, try:

        Echoes from a bygone era.

Thanks in the meantime. Found a few entries - I remember the style and some of the characters, but no luck so far. Anyone for George G, the elusive c, wilf, Ron Dough? And one or two from today's board - is that you Simon? Dave? Surely not the same Bryn?

Some memories there! Remember Wilf, who I think lived in Vienna (lucky man!), and the legendary Ron Dough.

Regulars on the jazz forum included Thomas Nashe who used rejected CDs as bird scarers, H Bomb and the legendary King Kennytone and mr. improv

Except for a brief period when Mr Grew purloined the screen name.

I think you will find that Mr Grew's reference year is 1908.

I regretted the BBC's decision to discontinue their own message boards; I felt it was a disservice to their customers. Even the 'Archers' comments page is closed.
