    Who's conducting? Gergiev?

Probably - and the main work might well be Shostakovich's Leningaz Symphony...

The programme would also include Holst's The Perfect Fuel.

It doesn't look as if Michael Haydn's Gaz Symphony has had a Prom yet.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Whatever else the concert must start with Rossini’s Gazza Ladra Ov - it’s a real steal!

...many thanks all - keep them coming!

What about a topically Russian item by Alexander Gazounov (alternatively transliterated as Gaz-enough)
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                          Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Music from the TV series ‘ALL GAS AND GAITERS’ - tune by Ron Grainer, inflated and orchestrated by Stanley Myers.

Maybe his ‘Seasons’ with a particularly cold sounding ‘Winter’!
